The Hotel Anteroom wasn’t actually our first choice for a weekend stay in Kyoto, but it most certainly will be next time—and might well be yours, too. The large, modern room, made-to-order breakfasts and reasonable rates should put this fine property on anyone’s short list.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed at 5-day winter getaway in Bermuda at the end of January. I used to have family that lived on the island, and I know that weather through the winter months here can be a bit of a crapshoot. We were fortunate, though, to have only one entire day of rain during our visit. We were also fortunate to book a room at the Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa.
This outstanding Thon property was the perfect way to wrap up our first trip to Norway. Having enduring four nights in a surprisingly busy hotel in the otherwise sleepy city of Bergen (see my previous review of the Scandic Ørnen), the Rosenkrantz was a welcome—and downright classy—relief.
I stayed at the Scandic Ørnen with my girlfriend this past summer. Though the property is modern and clean and the staff friendly enough, if we ever return to Bergen I don’t think we’d stay here again. It’s too far out of the way, and during our four-night stay in August was way too crowded.
